Peptide Calculator
Reconstitution volume, concentration and insulin units for a given vial, diluent and target amount. For research use only.
How the peptide calculator works
Lyophilised peptide
Enter the vial amount in mg, or pick a preset.
Add bacteriostatic water
Enter the diluent volume in mL.
Volume to draw
Read the exact mL and IU for the target amount.

Reconstitution reference
Concentration is the vial amount divided by the diluent volume. The same vial reconstituted with more bacteriostatic water gives a lower concentration and a larger volume per target amount, which is easier to read on an insulin syringe.
| Peptide | Bac water | Concentration |
|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 1 mL | 5,000 mcg/mL (500 mcg / 10 IU) |
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2,500 mcg/mL (250 mcg / 10 IU) |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5,000 mcg/mL (500 mcg / 10 IU) |
| 50 mg | 5 mL | 10,000 mcg/mL (1,000 mcg / 10 IU) |
- 1 mg = 1,000 mcg
- 1 mL = 100 IU
- 1 IU = 0.01 mL
Per-peptide presets
Load a vial size and its reference diluent volume from the catalogue, then adjust the target amount. Each preset links back to the product page and its specification.
Protocol notes
01 — Reconstitution
Add the calculated bacteriostatic water volume to the peptide vial slowly, along the inside wall. Gently swirl — never shake — peptides are fragile molecules.
02 — Calculation logic
Concentration = (peptide mg × 1,000) ÷ bac water mL. Volume = target amount mcg ÷ concentration. Insulin units = volume mL × 100.
03 — Storage
Store lyophilised vials at −20°C away from light. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within 30 days. Never freeze reconstituted peptides.
04 — Syringe guide
0.3 mL (30 IU) — finest graduations for small volumes. 0.5 mL (50 IU) — standard. 1.0 mL (100 IU) — largest volume. If IU exceeds syringe capacity, use a larger syringe.
