TB-500 5mg
TB-500 is a synthetic analogue of Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), a highly conserved 43-amino-acid peptide found in virtually all nucleated mammalian cells. The peptide plays a well-characterised role in sequestering G-actin monomers, thereby regulating the dynamic polymerisation and depolymerisation of actin filaments.
In research applications, TB-500 is used to interrogate assay readouts associated with cytoskeletal organisation, cell migration assays, and extracellular matrix interactions in model systems. These studies focus on molecular mechanisms and pathway mapping, not clinical use. The active region responsible for actin binding is the tetrapeptide LKKTETQ, located in residues 17–23 of the full sequence.
Researchers use TB-500 in combination with complementary compounds such as BPC-157 and GHK-Cu for multi-pathway tissue biology studies. Remove the vial from cold storage and allow it to reach room temperature before opening. This prevents condensation forming inside the vial and disturbing the lyophilised powder.
Always reconstitute with bacteriostatic water (BW). Avoid distilled or sterile water for long-term storage — BW contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol which preserves peptide stability and prevents microbial growth.
Insert the needle into the vial and allow BW to run slowly down the inside wall. Do not inject directly onto the lyophilised powder — the pressure can degrade the peptide structure.
Gently swirl the vial — never shake. Continue until the powder is fully dissolved and the solution is clear. Shaking introduces air bubbles and can cause aggregation.
Once reconstituted, store at 2–8°C and use within 30 days. Never freeze a reconstituted vial. Lyophilised (un-reconstituted) vials should be stored at –20°C, away from direct light.
