Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of the full 44-residue sequence of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It differs from the native hormone by the addition of a trans-3-hexenoic acid group at the N-terminus, a modification that protects the peptide from cleavage by dipeptidyl peptidase-4 and so extends its half-life relative to unmodified GHRH. Its molecular weight is approximately 5,136 Da, making it the largest of the GHRH analogues in the Megalab range.
Tesamorelin has been characterised in receptor pharmacology, in animal models of GHRH signalling, and extensively through clinical development. In research it is often compared with the shorter GHRH(1-29) analogues such as CJC-1295 no DAC to study how sequence length and N-terminal modification affect receptor activity and stability. Megalab supplies Tesamorelin for in-vitro research only.
Each vial contains 5mg of Tesamorelin as a lyophilised powder. Purity is verified by HPLC at ≥99% on every batch. The current lot is shown in the batch record on this page where published, and a Certificate of Analysis is available on request. Tesamorelin is also available paired with Ipamorelin in a four-vial bundle.
Store unopened vials at −20°C, protected from light. Bring to room temperature before opening. As a 44-residue peptide, Tesamorelin benefits from slow addition of bacteriostatic water and gentle swirling; avoid shaking. Store reconstituted solution at 2–8°C and use within 30 days.
Supplied for laboratory research use only.
It carries a trans-3-hexenoic acid group on the N-terminus, which protects against DPP-4 cleavage and extends the peptide’s stability. The 44-residue sequence is otherwise that of human GHRH.
CJC-1295 no DAC is a 29-residue truncated analogue with four amino-acid substitutions. Tesamorelin is the full-length 44-residue sequence with an N-terminal modification instead.
Yes. The Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin Bundle contains four vials in a 3:1 ratio.
